내 성전. 높지 않은 계단들도 어머니가 오를 때는 사정이 달라진다. 어머니 손을 잡고 천천히 그 모든 길을 걸어주는 아버지 뒷모습을 보면서 그나마도 사랑은 이런 것이라는 생각을 했다. 거기 있었는지조차 알 수 없다면 그 모든 마음이 무슨 소용이란 말인가. 어떻게든 표현할 방법을 찾아내는 마음. 언제나 내 마음에 차지는 않더라도 노력하는 마음이라도 있어야 사랑이겠지.
